Setting Up Grooming Service

Set up your Grooming Services in MoeGo to define what your business offers and make booking simple for clients. You can customize details such as service names, pricing, duration, and applicable pet types, breeds, and sizes, ensuring each client sees only the services that fit their pets.

Grooming Service

🖥️ Desktop:

  • To view or manage your Grooming Services on the web version, go to:
    Settings > Services > Grooming
  • This will take you to your Grooming Service List, where you can view, edit, or create new Grooming services.

📱App:

  • To view or manage your Grooming Services on the app version:
    • Tap the side menu bar and go to Settings.
    • Select Services, then tap Services from the top menu bar.
  • You’ll be taken to your Grooming Service List, where you can view, edit, or create new services directly from the app.


Step 1. Set Up Grooming Categories

🖥️ Desktop:

  • Under your grooming service List (Settings > Services > grooming), click Edit Category to manage your grooming categories.
  • Click + Add New Category to create a new category.
  • You can also:
    • Sort the order of categories
    • Edit existing category names
    • Delete categories as needed
      • When you delete a category, all services under that category will automatically move to Uncategorized.

📱Mobile App:

  1. Go to Settings > Services> Service list then tap Categories.
  2. Tap the orange “+” icon at the bottom right corner to add a new category.
  3. To rearrange categories, drag and drop using the horizontal line icons on the right.
  4. To delete a category, tap Edit, then tap the red “–” icon.
  5. To rename a category, tap the category name, make your edits, and tap Save to apply changes.


Step 2. Create new Grooming Service

🖥️ Desktop:

  • Navigate to Settings > Services > Grooming and Click Add new Service

Basic Info

Service Name
The name of the service, visible to both your business and clients.

Category
Select which category this add-on will appear under for your business and clients.

Description
Provide a short description of the service. This will be visible to clients on your Online Booking page and storefront, helping them understand what the add-on includes.

Status
Indicates whether the service is active or inactive.

  • Note: Inactive service will not be visible when creating new appointments or to clients booking online.

Image
Upload an image to visually represent the service. This image will be shown to clients when booking online.

Color Code
Assign a color code to the service for easier identification on your calendar.

Available Businesses & Staff

Business
If you operate multiple locations, select which business locations this service is available at.

Staff

You can assign specific staff members to each grooming service. When creating an appointment, the assigned staff will automatically appear when that service is selected.

Note:
To ensure Online Booking displays the correct available staff for each selected service, go to Online Booking Settings > Services, and set up the available staff for each service.

Price & Duration

Price
Set the price for this service.

Tax
Define the tax rate for the service.

  • Note: The tax rate is not visible to clients during booking but will appear on the invoice.
  • Tax rate options are determined by what’s configured under Settings > General Settings > Tax.

Duration
Set the duration of the grooming service.

Advanced Option for Business & Staff

Allows you to set different prices, taxes, or service durations for each business location.

You can also customize the price and duration for individual staff members if needed. This provides greater flexibility, especially when staff members work at different speeds on the same service.

Pet details

Type & Breed
Specify which pet types and breeds this service applies to. Choose between:

  • All Types and Breeds: Available for all pet types.
  • Customize: Select specific pet types (e.g., dog, cat) and choose particular breeds within each type.

Weight
Define which pet sizes the service is available for. Choose between:

  • Full Range: Available for all pet sizes.
  • Customize: Select specific pet size ranges.

Coat Type
Select which coat types this service applies to. Choose between:

  • All Coat Types: Available for all coat types.
  • Selected Coat Types: Choose specific coat types (e.g., short, medium, long).

The available options for pet type, breed, size, and coat type are determined by your settings under Settings > Clients & Pets.

Default add-on(s) (Beta Feature)

You can set up rules to automatically include specific add-ons with this service during appointment scheduling or online booking.

📱Mobile App:

  • Navigate to Settings > Services and tap the orange + button > New Service


Step 3. Manage Grooming Service

🖥️ Web version:

  • Navigate to Settings > Services > Grooming.
  • Click the three vertical dots to the right of a grooming service, then select Edit, Duplicate, or Delete as needed.
  • After updating an existing add-on, a confirmation page will appear asking if you’d like to apply the changes to all unconfirmed upcoming appointments.
  • Make sure to select this option according to your needs.
    • If selected, the changes will apply to all already scheduled but unconfirmed future appointments.
    • If not selected, the update will apply only to newly created appointments after the change.

📱Mobile app:

  1. Go to Settings > Services, then tap the Add-ons tab at the top.
  2. Tap the service you want to edit and scroll to the bottom.
  3. Toggle Active/Inactive as needed, or tap Delete to remove the add-on.
    1. Note: Duplicating add-ons is not available in the mobile app.
  • If you make any edits to an existing service, toggle “Also apply to unconfirmed upcoming appointments” based on whether you want the changes to apply to future unconfirmed bookings.

Setting Up Add-on

Set up add-ons to offer extra services alongside your main offerings, giving clients more flexibility and enhancing their overall experience.

Add-on Service

Does this add-on require staff?

  • No: No staff assignment is needed.
  • Yes: You’ll be able to assign a staff member when adding the add-on to an appointment.

Applicable Services

  • All Services (including future ones): The add-on can be applied to any care type — boarding, daycare, or grooming.
  • Select Specific Services: The add-on will only be available when the selected service(s) are chosen.

Pet details

Type & Breed
