Data Import Details
You can import data for your clients, pets, services, staff, package, membership, invoices and blocked time.
Below are the general data fields supported by MoeGo’s import tool.
Client Information
- Basic info: First name, Last name, Email, Status (Active/Inactive)
- Phone numbers: Up to 5 (e.g. primary, contact phone, etc.)
- Address: Street, City, State, Country, Zip code
- Notes: Up to 12 notes per client
Important notes:
- Phone numbers are imported as digits only — symbols (like “+1” or “-”) will be automatically cleaned.
- “Active” or “Inactive” must be entered as
1(active) or0(inactive). - Any unsupported data fields will be imported into “Client Notes.”
Pet Information
- Basic info: Name, Breed, Type, Gender, Status, Birthdate, Fixed, Weight
- Additional info: Vet name & phone, Emergency contact, Health issues, Comments (up to 12)
Supported values:
- Pet Type:

male,female - Spayed/Neutered: Natura, Spayed, Neutered
- Weight
- Birthday: any valid date format (MM-DD-YYYY recommended)
- Status:
1= active,2= deceased/deactivated - Vet Information
- Coat Type
- Behavior
- Pet Notes
Service Information
- Required: Service name
- Optional: Category, Duration, Price, Tax, Color, Description, Type (1 = Service, 2 = Add-on)
Tips:
- If no category is listed, the service will be added to the default category.
- Color format must be in hex (e.g.
#f15a2b). - Service names can be repeated.
Blocked Time
- Required: Date, Start time, End time
- Optional: Comments (up to 10)
Example:

Supported File Formats
MoeGo supports the following file types for import:
.xlsx(recommended).txt(can be opened in Excel).bakor.sql(database backup files)
Unsupported formats: JSON files are not accepted.
💡 Tip: Always use Excel (.xlsx) to avoid data loss or garbled characters caused by emojis or special formatting.
Data Import Coverage
When transferring your data to MoeGo, the following types of information can be imported. The import range varies depending on data type and relevance to your active operations.

Import Behavior & Duplicate Handling
When you are submitting a second/additional data import request:
- The system de-duplicates based on primary phone number.
- If the same phone number already exists, it will be skipped.
- If no phone number exists, all entries will be imported.
- You can choose to delete and re-import your data if corrections are needed.
Data Preparation Tips
Before submitting your import file, if you can, please proceed with instruction below:
- Include a unique Client ID column if possible for better matching.
- Place clients and pets in the same sheet, with matching Client IDs.
For Repeated Imports
There are two common cases:
- Re-importing:
Deletes all previous client, pet, message, and appointment data, then re-imports the file. - Adding data:
New clients will be imported; duplicates (based on phone number) will be skipped.
